Purpose of Scrutiny

  • Strengthen oversight across all committees and departments.
  • Support the President and Executive Leadership in delivering the council’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

Coordination and Management

  • Oversee and coordinate all activities within the council in partnership with the President.
  • Maintain clear communication channels between committees, departments, and leadership.
  • Ensure all divisions operate in accordance with established procedures and governance standards.


Committee Oversight

  • Monitor the effective running of all committees.
  • Ensure decisions and actions follow proper order and security protocols.
  • Review committee outputs to maintain consistency and quality.


Reporting and Documentation

  • Ensure high‑quality reports are prepared, reviewed, and submitted to the Chief Executive Head.
  • Maintain accurate records of decisions, actions, and recommendations.
  • Support transparency through clear documentation and structured reporting.


Policy Development Support

  • Assist the President and Department Heads in developing and refining policies.
  • Provide evidence‑based insights to strengthen policy decisions.
  • Ensure policies align with organisational goals and legal or ethical standards.
